Your New Role.

As a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer at RES Design Services Ltd, you will be a key leader responsible for managing and overseeing major water infrastructure projects. You will spearhead the design, delivery, and execution of solutions, ensuring that projects meet regulatory requirements and client expectations. As a senior team member, you will mentor junior staff, foster client relationships, and drive innovation in water and wastewater engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, including adherence to CDM regulations and the RES Design Services Business Management Systems (BMS).
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members.
• Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
• Lead client engagement, acting as a point of contact and ensuring strong, ongoing client relationships.
• Promote innovation and the adoption of new technologies in the water sector.
• Maintain an unwavering focus on health, safety, and sustainability in all project activities.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Significant experience in civil engineering design and project management, specifically within the water or wastewater sector.
• Strong understanding of water engineering principles, hydraulic systems, and infrastructure design.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
• Excellent technical expertise in Water Infrastructure, Wastewater Infrastructure & Treatment Works.
• Proficiency in using relevant software such as Civil 3D and other engineering design programs.
• In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE, CIWEM, or similar) is required.
• A passion for continuous professional development and a drive to innovate in water engineering.

As a Assistant/Civil Engineer at RES Design Services Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions within the water industry. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of water infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in civil engineering design, preferably within the water or wastewater industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of water engineering principles, hydraulic systems, and infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, such as CDM regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. · Professional licensure or chartered status is desirable.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development with a willingness to work towards chartership with a relevant professional institution (ICE, CIWEM or IoW).
